I bought a book of X-Files plots at the Globe bookstore for 50 kcs. It proved to be not very helpful but it initiated this whole line of thinking about alternative or parallel universes.
     The whole idea was to combine the images from the two short films, "The Nurse Short" and "The Escalator Short" and add a whole bunch of other elements and construct this alternative reality that exists on the same plane or is at least aware of the real reality. I was mostly connected to the idea that there could be ghosts or spirits or souls wandering around next to us, possibly even affecting us. Also, with the idea of the nurse, that there were angels. And if there were angels, there could possibly even be demons. At this point, the whole thing devolved down into an episode of Buffy.
     I'm a little embarrassed that I bought the X-Files book but at the time, I was considering working on a series of short films and referring to it as a poor man's x-files with some central characters and some kind of main through line. Those two things are what inspired the project and at this point, the only things that remains of the poor man's x-files.
