Response:

Rasheed: The first night I pitched it to him, I did it haphazardly. He sensed the fear and indecision and told me he didn't want to hear about it right then. Cold and indifferent, he continued to watch some Czech game show in silence. Since talking to Teshawn recently, he seems to have come around, appearing interested in doing something, what exactly isn't clear since he hasn't seen any script and I haven't discussed anything with him since the first night.

Teshawn: Described the gist of the script to him at a restaurant one afternoon. From the beginning he seemed stoked . . . until he read the script. For some reason, since then, he's decided to warn me of all the pitfalls he can think of that I'll run into when I'm trying to make this movie. He's insistent that he still wants to be involved. He simply wants to make sure I'm aware of what I'm getting into. He's also transparently disappointed he's not playing the lead character.

O'Brien: Called him soon after failing to successfully pitch to Rasheed so I could get the whole thing off my chest and possibly get someone else involved. O'Brien spent three hours interrupting me with pointless naysaying.

Teshawn's old roommate: He sat at a bar next to Teshawn as Teshawn, drunk, attempted to engage me in a discussion about the script. Roommate thought it was an interesting idea. Somehow broached the subject of high concept. Inaccurately and ungracefully summed it up as Blair Witch Project meets Omega Man.

Mom: Doesn't know I'm wasting my time with another lame-brained film idea. However, if she did, she would do her best to support me even though no one from her church could watch it.

Martha: Emailed her about the idea. She wished me luck.

Girl in Bagel Shop: Told her I had a script and wanted her to be involved. Gave her my number. She feigned interest and I haven't heard from her. She has no idea what the film is about.

Willow: Explained the gist of the film to her on our way up Petrin Hill. Her response was paralyzingly simple. After asking a few questions about the imagery I wanted to use, she told me it was a good idea. The next day, after I pestered her about it, she sarcastically told me it was brilliant.

Mette: Knows I'm working on something. Also knows I'm writing this log in conjunction with it. All she cares about is what I've revealed about her.

Minieko: Conveyed my excitement about the script. She made an attempt to share my sentiment but remains, to this day . . . and forever forward, permanently ambivalent.

Mariana: Vaguely alluded to working on "a project" to her. She asked, "What project?"

Skittles: Sent her the first 22 pages of the rewrite. As of yet, no response.
